Six Summer Cocktails & Mocktails for You to Enjoy on a Summer Night!

With warmer days ahead we are looking forward to the happy hours, BBQs, and sunshine-filled get-togethers on the horizon. We say with any new season comes trying new things. Our team here at Sherpani has pulled together a list of our best-kept cocktail & mocktail recipes for you to test out this summer. So, grab your glass & let’s get to crafting some drinks!


Lexi’s Spicy Mango Jalapeno Marg

"My summer wouldn’t be complete without making this recipe; when I turned 21, my dad and I started making cocktails together. It was something we’d bond over, and I quickly learned he had a knack for making margaritas. I knew I just had to add a bit of spice; this is my twist on his classic!" Lexie- National Sales Manager

 What You’ll Need:

  • 2 oz Blanco Tequila
  • 1 oz Cointreau
  • 3-4 oz Fresh Lime Juice- you’ll need the juice of about one lime and one for garnish
  • 4 oz of mango juice
  • 1 Mango diced
  • Three jalapeños
  • Tajin
  • Ice cubes

How to Make It:

  1. First, grab your marg glass- rim with lime and dip in Tajin seasoning. Set aside. Pro Tip: Set in the freezer for an extra refreshing touch.
  2. Next, time to heat things and start the grill; add your jalapenos to the grill until blackened. Cut into slices, and reserve one for garnish.
  3. Grab your cocktail shaker, fill it with ice, and add a few charred jalapenos and diced mango slices- get to muddling.
  4. Add your tequila, lime juice, and mango juice- shake well until chilled.
  5. Pour in your prepped glasses with ice.
  6. Don’t forget to garnish with a skewer of mango, jalapeno, and lime wedge for a drink that looks as good as it tastes.


Alexis’ Strawberry Cucumber Limeade

"Refreshing and sweet- this is the best way to end any summer day. After getting into gardening, I had SO many strawberries on my hands. So, I decided to get creative and viola! This recipe is now a family favorite!" Alexis- Sales & Brand Manager

What You’ll Need:

  • 2 cups of fresh strawberries
  • ½ cup water
  • ½ granulated sugar
  • 1 cup freshly squeezed lime juice
  • One medium cucumber
  • Sparkling water
  • ½ cup agave
  • Two limes
  • Four sprigs of mint
  • Ice cubes

How to Make It:

  1. Start by cutting your strawberries (reserve a few for garnish) and add them to a blender.
  2. Once blended- pass through a strainer into a medium bowl.
  3. Grab your pitcher, add your sugar, water, agave, lime juice, and strawberry juice, and top with sparkling water. Mix well. Don’t add the sparkling water if you are not drinking it right away.
  4. Cut your remaining strawberries and limes for garnish. Add in your sprigs of mint for a finishing touch.


Rachael’s Refreshing Rosé Sangria

"I’m a big vino kind of gal, and this is the perfect twist on my favorite summer wine, Rosé. It’s refreshingly crisp, not overly sweet; the ideal way to say cheers to summer!" Rachael- Marketing Manager

What You’ll Need:

  • Your favorite bottle of Rosé (chilled)
  • One bottle of prosecco
  • Two cups of strawberries halved
  • 1 Blood orange (sliced)
  • ⅓ cup of Brandy
  • One lemon sliced
  • Two tablespoons of sugar
  • Ice cubes

How to Make It:

  1. Find your favorite pitcher and add your sliced fruit. Sprinkle the fruit with sugar and stir. Let this sit at room temp for about a half-hour.
  2. Next, pour your rose and brandy. It’s time to mix it up and add to the fridge- let sit for about 4 hours.
  3. Grab your favorite wine glasses, fill them with ice, and pour! Top off with prosecco for a refreshing spritz!


Maria’s Triple Berry Sparkler

"To me there’s no better way to kick off the summer than with this mocktail. This drink is bubbly, hydrating and looks beautiful at your next bbq." Maria- Co-Owner

What You’ll Need:

  • Your Favorite Brand of Coconut Water
  • ⅓ cup blueberries
  • ⅓ cup raspberries
  • ⅓ cup Açaí berries
  • One lemon sliced
  • 2 tbsp. Honey
  • 2 tbsp. Freshly squeezed lime juice
  • 2 tbsp. Freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • Club Soda or sparkling water
  • Ice cubes

How to Make It:

  1. Let’s start with the berry ice cubes! Get your ice tray out, fill about ½ the way with an assortment of berries. Fill to the top with coconut water. Throw it into the freezer for about 4 hours.
  2. Combine honey and the lemon + lime juices in a bowl, stir until honey is dissolved.
  3. In a pitcher combine, ice cubes, honey mixture and your favorite club soda or sparkling water for a drink that is sure to cool you down.


Marisa’s Blackberry Bourbon Smash

"Being from the south, I have always had a special love for Bourbon. When I moved to Colorado, I knew I had to share this love with my friends! If you’re looking to impress, I always turn to this recipe; with notes of molasses, honey, and a kick of sweetness -this drink does not disappoint." Marisa- Operations Manager

What You’ll Need:

  • 2 ounces of your favorite Bourbon
  • ½ of blackberries
  • Four sprigs of mint
  • One tablespoon of sugar
  • Juice of one lime
  • Ginger ale
  • Crushed ice

How to Make It:

  1. Grab your shaker and get to muddling! Muddle your blackberries, mint, sugar, and lime juice- once mixed, you’re ready for step two.
  2. Add your Bourbon, crushed ice, and top off with ginger ale- stir it up and serve.


Ashley’s Aperol Spritz

"You honestly can’t go wrong with a classic! After studying abroad in Italy, I would often reminisce of days on the coast sipping this spritz. I knew I had to try it at home! It’s vibrant and crisp with slight notes of melon; it’s a great summer evening drink. Salute!" Ashley- Operations Manager

What You’ll Need:

  • Aperol (chilled)
  • Prosecco (chilled)
  • Orange sliced

How to Make It:

  1. Grab your favorite wine glasses and fill with ice about ½ of the way to the top.
  2. Slice orange and place an orange wedge in the glass
  3. Add about 3 ounces Aperol & 3 ounces Prosecco
  4. Grab your glass, and enjoy!
