Great bag except...

"Bought a second Sherpani Soliel (all black) and agree with others that it's almost perfect-fits my MacBook Air with some pushing, LOVE the 3 carry options: cross body, backpack or 2 handles. I found cushioning to be just fine. Love the security zip pockets and lightweight. Few suggestions I'd make: the backpack strap does come undone easily, a little tight on width, and color options other than black seem a bit misinformed...maybe less contrast. Some color options seem a bit garish which doesn't match the otherwise classy design. Thanks Sherpani! hard to find a good bag like this."

I wanted to love it

"I really wanted to love this bag. I do love the design and the safety features are great. The bag isn't wide enough (front to back) to even allow a book to lay down and it feels very narrow. I wish there was at least one zippered pocket inside the bag. And as another reviewer mentioned, the lining isn't attached, so trying to put items in and out of the bag is more difficult than it should be. The lining kind of gets in the way. The shoulder straps do not stay where you adjust them, and the bag feels too padded overall."

"I just completed my first trip with this bag. I like the design and finctionality of the bag but the backpack straps left bruises on my arms—the padded shoulder part is great but i wish the padding extended farther. When you go to slip it off, if your bag is fully loaded, the thin part of the strap is very rigid and uncomfortable."

"Just as good as I expected.. this is now my 2nd travel Bag I've bought from Sherpani, in the last 5 yrs. That's how long the last bag lasted and even then the quality of the bag is still like new after 5 yrs. I only bought a new bag because the Pleather was pealing off. Sherpani sells quality bags."

almost perfect

"I loved almost everything about this bag, from the size - perfect for short folks and short trips - to the safety features and durability. The stow-away straps are great, and a hard feature to find. Everything seems easy to use and thoughtfully designed. . . except the lining. The light color of the lining is helpful for finding things. But the lining is loose, not fully connected to the bag, which means it shifts around and you can get a handful of it when you're trying to remove something from the bag. It also isn't totally smooth, so things don't easily glide in and out. This makes it clumsy to use. If this had a standard backpack-style attached nylon lining it would be perfect."

"This is the best purse! I love all the features. The biggest turnoff is that the tote handles fall apart. Thin vinyl. Every other part is more durable."

"I really like the features in this bag, the versatility in wearing it and the outside pockets are perfect. Love the water bottle pockets which was another reason I bought this bag. I bought it knowing it was pretty large, I'm short and as a backpack it works fine, but it's really big on me when carrying as a cross-body. But I will be traveling and need the space Also there aren't any loops for the excess backpack straps, I was able to tuck the end through the D ring on the bottom so they don't dangle but otherwise they'd be hanging loose. The fabric is nice and everything is well constructed and sturdy."
